Do you accept all students?
What grades will you start with?
We will open with 4th and 5th grade in August 2018.
No. We are a tuition-free, public school.
Does it cost anything for my child to attend?
Yes. We are committed to providing all Buffalo Collegiate students with the necessary supports to meet our high expectations.
Do you offer Special Education and services for English Language Learners?
All interested families must fill out a simple application in order to be included in our April lottery. This application does not include testing results, previous report cards, or recommendations. This application does not guarantee your child a seat at Buffalo College. Applications will be available online by November 1.
What is required for the application process?
Yes. In grades 4-8, all students residing within the Buffalo Public School District are eligible for free transportation through the district. In grades 9-12, students have the option of taking the NFTA.
Do you provide transportation?
We will have 60 students in each grade, and 30 students in each class. In Year 1, we will have a student to teacher ratio of 11:1 to allow for small group and individualized instruction.
How big are the class sizes?
Our regular school day on Monday through Thursday runs until 4:15 PM. On Fridays we dismiss at 1:30 PM for teacher professional development. We are committed to working with community partners to coordinate afterschool programs for any interested families.
Do you offer afterschool care?
Students will participate in a special each day, which, depending on the grade level, may include physical education, visual arts, and/or performing arts. Our sports program will expand in the middle (7-9) and upper (10-12) academies.
Will you have sports teams and/or the arts?
We will be located on the East Side of Buffalo and are currently finalizing space. We have explored opportunities in the following neighborhoods: Bailey-Delavan, Broadway-Fillmore, and Schiller Park.
